Pop star Katy Perry is singing a farewell tune to her Beverly Hills, CA, home. The private and pretty estate is available for $19,475,000.
The “Roar” singer had pounced on the property in 2017 for $17,995,000, according to Mansion Global. Her five-year investment is likely to yield some sweet dough.
The ivy-covered, Regency-style estate was built in 1959 and measures 5,427 square feet. It features designer decor and a colorful palette throughout.
The floor plan includes a sky-lit gallery entrance and a step-down living room with a fireplace and a lavender-hued sofa. Sets of French doors open to the patio and lawn.
The formal dining room features an eye-catching table with purple velvet chairs. French doors here open to a dining terrace.
The spacious kitchen has plentiful white cabinets, a large island, and a butler’s pantry.
The mansion has 5.5 baths and five bedrooms, including the primary suite. That serene space comes with a fireplace, double closets, a marble bath, and a garden terrace. The musician’s retreat even features a guitar on one of the walls.
Other highlights include a wood-paneled library awash in blue hues. It opens to a terrace.
The lower level houses a media/family room and a gym with a sauna, cold plunge, and shower.
The park-like grounds encompass a large, grassy lawn, an infinity pool, and large trees. Along with on-site security, there’s parking for “dozens” of cars, the listing notes.
Perry began her exodus from the hills when she sold a home just steps away from the one now up for sale. She had picked up the property for $7,450,000 in 2018, intending to use it as a guesthouse for her family and friends. But she changed her mind and listed the home in 2020 for $7,950,000. It was sold in May 2021 for $7,475,000.
Quite swanky for a “guesthouse,” the 4,400-square-foot home has four bedrooms and 4.5 baths. The gated property also boasts a pool, lush lawn, and gardens.
The “California Gurl” singer, who hails from Santa Barbara, could be opting to spend more time in Montecito with partner Orlando Bloom.
The coastal town north of L.A. has attracted a bevy of bold names, including Oprah Winfrey, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, and Ellen DeGeneres.
Bloom and Perry reportedly paid $14.2 million for their Montecito estate in 2020. Set on 9 acres, the home has six bedrooms and 12 bathrooms.
Built in 1928, the three-story villa comes with a guesthouse, detached office, pool, cabana, and tennis court.
With 143 million albums sold, Perry is one of the bestselling artists of all time. Since 2018, the award-winning singer has served as a judge on “American Idol.”
